Army Pink is the inspiration of Los Angeles based designer, Robin Bement. Originally started in 2001 as a vintage reworked line of WWII army shirts sold in Japan, each garment was an original with its own hand stitched animal, appliqué number on the back, vintage glass buttons and trims.
By 2003, the vision for Army Pink was a contemporary women’s line which debuted at the Pool Show in Las Vegas. The idea was to create a line of girly dresses, flirty blouses and skirts for women who are confident and fun. Staying true to the vintage beginnings, the line offers original appliqués, crochet stitching and respect to all details. Each piece conveys a youthful spirit with graceful refinement.
After the line launched in 2003 it began selling in boutiques all across the U.S. Army Pink’s most recent discovery is its finance partner, John Gilmore. He was overcome by the magic of Army Pink and had to join in.
