When the dynamic duo Kara Smith and Nina Firestone became frustrated with finding great tops that had a sexy cut and a fabulous print, these lifelong friends decided to start their own collection.
With no previous fashion experience, but a hint of business savvy and an eye for design, these ingredients led them to test their style sensibility and crate Karanina. The two native Angelenos were relocated to Santa Barbara where the design career of these two 24-year olds took off.
The Karanina line, just recently launched for Spring 2004, already has a celebrity following such as Angelina Jolie, Drea de Matteo, and Lisa Kudrow, that can only be attributed to their flirty, feminine tops, dresses and separates that perfectly suit the sophisticated, chic, international woman.
